I honestly had to read the announcement three times because I was convinced it was a typo but it is actually happening and he is officially out. My hands are shaking while I type this because it feels like a fever dream finally breaking after all this time and I …

This petition is for the recall of Governor Chris Christie of New Jersey. His assault on the education and the public workers is undeniably an assault on the middle-class. Cutting more than $1 billion in education aid, while giving $1 billion in tax breaks to people making over $400,000 a year is unjust and immoral.

Sign this petition if you agree on the recall of Governor Chris Christie.

I was looking at some of the comments today and the frustration is just palpable because people are really feeling the weight of these budget choices in their own households. It feels like we are barely scratching the surface of how many people are actually fed up with these priorities so I am looking into how we can get the word out to some of the local unions who are dealing with these cuts directly.

I see the numbers inching up toward that first hundred mark and honestly it makes my head spin thinking about how many people are actually fed up with these budget cuts. Can you take a second to send this link to a few people in your circle because if we hit that milestone tonight it might actually force them to pay attention to us for once.

Will not vote for president. Stop vetoing the pig gestations law.

robert lynch

We just can't wait till he's gone '

doug olson

total phoney, lies with a straight face. i hope that the bridgegate will push him and his big mouth into the abyss. he can always try a run for dogcatcher, which would suit him well.

Anonymous

We need someone who cares about the people of NJ. This guy is only interested in himself.

Anonymous

Thankfully, he will not be President. He doesn't believe in fair play, voters say or State Rights. He is closed minded and petty.

Danielle Del Sontro

Reform NJ's medicinal marijuana program to be accessible for PTSD sufferers.

Michael D Smith

he should be dismissed as Govoner due to his absence for extended time periods . he should also reimburse N. J for the money he took in salary and the expenses he cost while campaigng out of state, travel, security ,etc.

Matthew Payano

He is a terrible Governor. I have not seen any economic improvement in my communities since he stepped in office. He is a burden and scheme artist to NJ.

Stephen Gravina

Worst bully ever. NJ was a stepping stone to white house. Now let's send him to the poor house!

Anonymous

Fire the man already. Reform the marijuana laws of NJ for the better and set up a regulated State program so we can bring in much needed tax money.

Anonymous

First schools now privatizing water. He has to go NOW

Brian Pawlak

Is he actually still Governor or resident of State anymore? It would have been nice to get more of that ExxonMobil money to re-fund the pension fund...

Elaine Pintozzi

Kick Christy out

Vickey

I want him to pay back all the money he used to run for president

Kathleen Scala

This 'do nothing jerk ' has to go !!

Heather DelBagno

He needs to removed from office.

Traci Duffy

Our Futures Matter!!!! Recall Christie!!!!!!

Linda Ellicott

He needs to stop paying his Wall Street cronies with our he'd Ernest pension money. Fund the pension now.

Jane Walsh

Governor Christie has not taken care of the working class citizens of the State of NJ. He promised 6 years ago not to raise taxes, but instead has raised fees, diverted funds, humiliated public workers, and broken the law that he wrote regarding funding pensions. He does not support public education and has allowed transportation funds to be depleted. His lack of respect for anyone that doesn't agree with him is appalling. It seems the only group of people that he chooses to protect are those that can benefit him somewhere down the road.

Edward Heaton

It will take decades to overcome the damage done to this state by this governor. He belongs in prison.

George Bogorad

Screw him. He is a I'll tempered windage with no regard for the wellbeing of anyone but himself.

Shamira Green

Governor Christie does not represent nor reflect the majority of the working class citizens in NJ. He blatantly disregards and disrespects the need for environmental and educational resources and continues to divert funds for his personal agenda.

Dan W

Stop draining money from our state and stay out of Jersey!

Lydia

I feel personally victimized by his policies on education

Costa

I am more than happy to do it.

Anonymous

I have been embarrassed to be from NJ for a while now thanks to Christie.

Tova Felder

Christie does not care about us. Give us someone who does.

sandra gordon

Thank you for doing this!!

Anonymous

Biggest letdown and disgrace ever.

Anonymous

So embarrassed I voted for this guy twice and defended him in the past.

Candice Guinan

I'm tired of my tax dollars paying for him to spend more days out of NJ than in and to campaign for others (TRUMP of all people...guess he's on team "Screw NJ").

Anonymous

Recall now.

Anonymous

Time to go! Christie has followed his own agenda since day one and has not been good for the people of New Jersey. The Asbury Park Press has a great editorial at http://www.app.com/story/opinion/editorials/2016/03/01/chris-christie-resign-recall/81162824/. His trademarks are arrogance, sarcasm, hypocrisy and opportunism, only to mention a few.

Pat Gentile

Dump Christie - he's an embarrassment to the wonderful Garden State.

Sallie Gorohoff

Remove the arrogant good for nothing.

Anonymous

Governor Christie is an embarrassment to New Jersey. He suspended his presidential bid, but won't stay in New jersey to fulfill his duties. The only former candidate to travel with a current candidate.

john rubinstein

Just stay out of New Jersey...permanently

Jeff Turner

An absolute disgrace of a govenor that has no respect for the consituents he is allegedly representing, show him the exit strategy we would like himt o embrace.

Charles Tomaro

Time for him to go

Maureen Glover

The sooner, the better.

Susan Levinson

Time for him to go. We need a real governor.

Anonymous

His attacks on Public Workers and his consistent absence for his own personal political agenda make this Recall a necessity.

Doug Baumann

He can focus on campaigning for Trump full time. He's doing that anyway.

Charles M Sklar

Disastrous governor for NJ. Disgusting praise for Trump where last month his correct opinion was that Trump was ill-suited to be president. Absentee governor for over 260 days of the year, most of the expenses on the backs of NJ taxpayers and now that he is campaigning for Trump we're still paying for his shenanigans. Did I mention Bridgegate, which, if he didn't know about and surreptitiously approve he was ignorant beyond belief, which is even harder to believe. I could go on for a very long time but others will certainly fill in the gaps.

Opie Mansfield

Fire this bum!

Edwin J Kirby

Christie has raped the state of N.J. STOP HIS PAY CHECK NOW

Christina endres

Time for this overpaid underworked loser to leave .as governor he has squandered more money than I can count .this is a man who touts small government but where is his experience in the private sector?? He has been on the file his entire career

Anonymous

Need a better person to lead. Not an opportunist.

Anonymous

I concur with all of the comments. Add to it his atrocious voting on animal welfare issues in NJ, e.g. not banning gestation crates. He is heartless and self-serving. Not good qualities for a governor

Norman Hill

Trout.

Linda baer

Worst governor ever

Bill

He needs to go, he has neglected New Jersey for far too long.

Anonymous

His behavior has been consistently despicable.

Dominique Menear

Christie has been long absent in his duties to the State of NJ and is arrogant enough to think we don't notice that he has been following his own personal agenda, to have his cake and eat it too!

Michael Luongo

He is not doing his job. First he spent all of his time running for President. Now that he had to quit because he was losing, he has decided to hang out with Donald Trump. He obviously has no interest whatsoever in governing New Jersey. Which is fine, because nobody want's him to govern. But he should not retain the title and the salary and the perks and the power without doing any of the hard work. He has got to go now.

Michael Cullen

Chris Christie has mismanaged the state since the day he took office. He has demonstrated contempt for public workers and has consistently made decisions that benefit the wealthiest NJ residents at the expense of everyone else in the state. With no chance of winning the Republican presidential nomination, he continued an anemic campaign at the expense of the Garden State. And now, he has once again, turned his attention away from Trenton to bask in the limelight of Donald Trump. Chris Christie must be recalled as governor. New Jersey deserves better.

Joseph Sikora

Christie should be recalled due to his total disregard for the responsibilities of his elected position. He should also be responsible for all ongoing travel expenses for himself and his security detail.

Kathleen Purcell

He is not fulfilling his obligation to the citizens of NJ by traveling around the country for his own benefit. He is being paid by the state to do nothing.

Mihir Shah

Christie should be recalled due to dereliction of duty.

Jim Devansky

Should have been done a long time ago. Thanks for doing this!

Todd Lichtenstein

Get Christie out of NJ and out of politics.

R Takash

Let us get this done NOW!

elizabeth kelly

Christie has show contempt for the middle-class, while kissing the rings of the rich. He is a self-serving, unprincipled hypocrite.

Anonymous

Chris Christie has been a miserable governor and now he has higher aspirations....what a political cartoon this guy is!

Ron Williams

Totally inept as a leader. Let's move along. Nothing to see here...

Karolyn Johnson

He should be "thrown out" from the position of Governor. NOW!!!!

Anonymous

TIME TO GO !!!!!

Lee Brush

Throw the bum out!

alejandro mendoza

Chris Christie must resign, he does not represent NJ's diverse population.

Lourdes Rivera

He needs to stop being a puppet, behind Trump, making himself look more then a fool...He need to do right with the people of New Jersey and our kids....Unbelievable this so call of a man

JP Fernandez

Resign you fat slob.

Carol Larro

Enough.

Jill Lake

Most corrupt governor ever.

Patricia Kubaska

Worst governor in the history of this country. He is a mockery to the office of governor. He spent as little time as he could in New Jersey with his sights always set somewhere else. A huge bully... he and Trump deserve each other.

Nancy Allen

Gross. Disgusting. Makes me sick.

sheila massoni

Christie isn't even in nj enough to qualify as resident for tax purposes he's self serving has to go

Anonymous

Chris Christie is a failed governor who clearly has abandoned his job. If he was a state worker he'd be fired.

Rosemary Caixinha

Stop the bulling!

Cecily T Avgerinos

In all the things he has done, endorsing Donald Trump is by far the worst. Senator Lindsay Graham said it best last night on an interview with Charlie Rose, " Donald Trump is crazy."

edward caufield

His own party stands against him.

Diana Leo

Christie has forfeited his right or ability to govern NJ. His tenure has been marked by venality, crude bullying and downright wrongdoing. He needs to go.

Marylee Jeria

This should have been done when his petty reactions caused a traffic jam that resulted in a woman dying because she was not able to get to medical help in time.

Robin ervin

We need a government who stays in state.

Jackie Rooney

It's about time Christie did the right thing for the State of NJ and stepped down. All he's done so far is spend taxpayers' money on security, transportation, attorney defense fees for Bridgegate, along with lying to us and only doing what benefits him. Step up to the plate.

Anonymous

Not only should he be recalled, but should repay the state for his lawyer fees and even his salary.

Anonymous

endorsing Mr. Trump?! I am shocked at Mr. Christie who, up until this, would have been the first republican I would have ever considered voting for. Now? NEVER.

Estina Baker

It is time to make our great state a priority and stand UP to the school yard bully who became Governor!

Robert Rivera

let's do it.

Charles Lavine

GO..,

Anonymous

Either recall him or, better, impeach him.

Anonymous

This should have been done years ago

Peter J Griffin

Long Overdue!

Stephanie Ann Kiziukiewicz

we should all sue Chris Christie individually in small claims courts in our respective counties for the maximum amount for theft of service and receiving a paycheck, pension contributions, health benefits without showing up for work as a no-show job!

dennis h bunton

please resign now.

Ruth C Neal

When someone does not do their job, they should be fired. He should not be allowed to cost the taxpayers so much in our hardearned dollars while contributing nothing but embarrassment.

Sharon Quilter

He needs to move out of his office. He is doing nothing but hurt the State of New Jersey Why does he get to appoint a NJ Supreme Court Judge and Obama doesn't?

Hamid Bennoude

The worst New Jersey Governor ever. Talking about a disaster

Anonymous

You don't want to be here...we don't want you here. Time to go!!

Anonymous

What a waste of human flesh! Selfish, rude and the worst governor NJ has ever had. That includes Florio. Who needs him? He couldn't care less about the citizens and the needs of the state. Get him out of here now.

Kristin Billich

I actually liked you in the beginning, Christie. But I don't know what you are doing anymore...

joan DiFluri

He's proven to be a disgrace--additionally, how many of his 261 days away from NJ were legitimate---including his love/visits, etc. for the Dallas Cowboys, etc?

joan DiFluri

"FATSO" HAS NO CLOTHES----IN ANY WAY!! KISSING TRUMP'S "RING"---THUMBING HIS NOSE AT THE NJ REPORTERS FOR ASKING LEGITIMATE QUESTIONS, ETC. DISGRACEFUL!!--RESIGN OR LET'S RECALL HIM---A MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT!

Anonymous

Enough already. Go chase your ambitions on your own dime.

Richard Pucciarelli

It's time to set the wheels in motion to recall CC. He has shown no interest in solving the pressing problems of the state, just in drawing a paycheck. His arrogance is insulting to every resident of the state of New Jersey and he needs to be finally deflated.

June McCooe

It's time we have someone in office who cares about the people in New Jersey. Every time he speaks he proves to be an embarrassment to the State.

sharon tyrrell

stop acting like you are a governor. do the right thing & resign, ASAP!! you are an embarrassment to your office. you also are stealing as you accept a paycheck as governor but refuse to stay in NJ where your fiduciary responsibilities are. you are a genuine LOSER!!

John Dobermiller

He sold us down the river for his own selfisn national campaign. We don't need him or want him here. Bye Bye Chris

gregory mekilo

I have never in my life seen a more evil, selfish, disgraceful , rude governor who would throw his own mother under the bus if he could benefit.... POS ..

gregory mekilo

as a resident of Pennsylvania I actually felt sorry for the people of new jersey. we all know all about chris christies bullying and sarchasm , lyeing , vindictiveness. you better believe he knew all about the bridge closing. remember what goes around comes around-----very sure trump is using him for the moment god help us all.......................

Anonymous

I am not a liberal. I am a libertarian and have supported moderate-right candidates and believe in capitalism. Chris Christie, along with Trump, is the definition of why it is embarrassing to identify yourself with the GOP. Instead of broad tax cuts for middle class and businesses, he employees trickle-down economics for his wealthy, 1% buddies. NJ's credit has been downgraded multiple times during his tenure. He constantly travels and skips work, saying anything related to the state of NJ is "off-topic", but can jiggle his fatass with Jerry Jones every Sunday in Dallas and bill travel and food expenses after stuffing his pig face with McDonald's for breakfast, lunch, dinner and midnight snacking. His endorsement of Trump showed his sociopathic nature and revealed he is a man who only cares for himself and his (now dying, on critical life-support) pathetic political career. Get this Jabbah the Hutt individual out of the office. His apathy and selfish behavior is atrocious.

Anonymous

Get rid of him... he's a disgrace and unethical when it comes to the needs of the citizens!!!!

Jon Douglas Rainey

I live in South Jersey where bad storms left many of us without power for days and damaged our businesses and homes - We never got help or even heard from Governor Big Talk/Little Action Chris Christie.

Janie Eager

NO governor ever seems to care about South Jersey. I also live in South Jersey but with a governor like Chris Christie, it really doesn't matter where you live in this state.

Tom Frascatore

Possible pension funding fraud, tax cuts that benefit only wealthy donors, a series of credit downgrades and a pattern of vetoing or standing in the way of legislation that the majority of his constituents support simply to pander to other states holding primaries (vetoing keeping guns out of the hands of convicted felons, humane livestock treatment and a fair minimum wage come to mind). These and many other broken promises are grounds enough for us to question his capacity to govern. But, when you add continuing to desert his state to serve as Donald Trump's emcee in a pathetic grab for some form of political power beyond his failed presidential bid and his disastrous governorship, it has become clear that he simply has not interest in governing. .even badly as he has in the past. So why are we continuing to pay him to be our governor? It's time for him to step down and make way for someone to actually do the job.

Carol Pisano

Go! leave, Go! Leave! Please! go

Anonymous

Look it up....... the actual signature requirement for recall is almost twice the number of votes received by Ms Buono in her attempt to unseat the incumbent. Maybe the effort should be aimed at revising the legislation currently in place for gubernatorial recall.

Amthony Spaldo

You ran for president got 2%of the vote knocked Donald Dump now you are up his ass looking for a job you have one it is called a governor come home and earn your pay if you do get a job with Donald Dump I hope you get a salary and not paid by the pound our nations deficit is big enough

Jonathan Krieger

Got to go. My property taxes are out of control!

Leslie Odell-Wyche

He is never here, but still takes his paycheck. Is I was off working someone else's campaign I would not still be getting paid here at my NJ teaching job.

Jeff Cartwright

What a shame that it has come to this. But even Christie's supporters are fed up. We need a full-time governor who, hopefully, will restore dignity to the office. The Governor should resign and save the citizens from the costs and unpleasantness of a recall. But if he chooses to stay, he must be removed.

Louise Baldwin

Chris Christie is a disaster for the state of NJ. He should be recalled so the nation will be able to figure out he will be a disaster for the Feds as well - we don't need Thrump to forward Chrisitie's national standing without letting the country know we are fed up.

matt ballman

do the right thing for once in your life.

Leigh Anne Staszewski

Get him out of here.... He isn't doing anything for our state! He needs to go!!!

Mark weaver

Resign please do us a favor you are a lier disgusting human been

Eric Lansey

From day 1, Chris Christie has used the office of the Governor to further his personal ambitions at the expense of hard working, tax paying state residents. His latest stunt in endorsing the Trumpster takes the cake! Please send this guy his walking papers and let's start our search for someone who will truly serve the people of New Jersey.

Joey Diamato

You have done nothing for NJ, and now you back Trump. We have highest property taxes & car ins. in the nation. Save yourself more disgrace and resign please!

Richard Blish

not to mention Christie is out of NJ more than 2/3 of the time, ie no share of mind to act as People' Gov

Chris Guida

Step down now, you have done enough damage to public workers and their families

Patrick Dillon

Zero integrity. And it's obvious you have checked out on NJ. Please, stop embarrassing yourself (and us) and just go away. Just. Go. Away.

Bill Weightman

Chris Christie has been a disaster as a Governor. Axed the tunnel which would have aleviated traffic to NYC and added huge benefits to Northern NJ. But no. This bully has shown through with holding funds to Hoboken after Sandy, Bridgegate, and so many more that he is the epitomie of corniesm, back room Jersey politics. His endorsement of Trump and continuous traveling out of state for self promotion, was just the icing on the cake. Step down now.

If Mr. Trump loses, Christie's political career will be done. Good riddance!!! We need someone in the Governor's office that will do the job of the people that elected him and not spend their time trying to advance their own political career.

Russell C Vanderbsuh

This man is an embarrassment to the state of NJ and draining the taxpayer dry

Susan Wahl

Obviously Christy has no interest in serving as governor. Give him what he wants, and we can move on with his replacement.

Karen Herman

The state of NJ deserves a real governor.

LaMar D Bell

Needs to be recalled

David Goodman

Christie can spare himself a recall by resigning. Being a surrogate for Donald Trump and out-of-state for the campaign, instead of doing his job and costing NJ taxpayers for his security detail, would get most other people fired.

John J Riggi

As an elected official, not spending time doing your sworn duty is ill-advised and negligent. If the Governor served in the private-sector, he would probably be fired and collecting unemployment at this point.

Norman Stanley

Worst governor in my life time...needs to go ..needs to sit down and shut up...

Robyn Kladerman

If he can't stay in the state and do his job , he doesn't deserve the perks that go with the job, I.e security detail ,medical, benefits, dental,bi weekly paycheck, etcetera. No other employee of a coma you would get away with what this man has.

As a registered republican, I must admit Christie's performance has been beyond a disgrace. NJ Republicans have lost my vote after 20 years of faithful voting.

Anonymous

He is a disgrace he blatantly used the people of New Jersey to get reelected so he can use the states money for his selfish ,narcissism. A disgrace

Penny Fillman

Why should NJ have to pay a salary for someone that doesn't do their job. He is a poor excuse for a governor!

Linda S Aloia

Gov Christie is not for the New Jerseyans. Gov Christie is for Gov Christie.

Anonymous

Maybe he should worry more about the pension that he's not paying into and less about Trump!

Christopher M Snyder

Someone who doesn't value or invest in, let alone prioritize the public education system of our state doesn't belong in office. Have been waiting a long time to see him go.

Christie doesn't care one bit about NJ, the only thing he cares about is Chris Christie. He has not an ounce of integrity.

Anonymous

Our Governor's lack of principle and absence of any commitment to his responsibility in NJ is a disgrace. Voted for him once, never again.

Anonymous

He should have been tried and recalled at Bridgegate. I think he should repay the legal fees he charged to NJ. And he should be responsible for any judgements resulting from Bridgegate.

Andrea Immel

After paying an additional $24 million for his bid for a second term, I draw the line at paying for his legal fees for Bridgegate or a failed run for the presidencny

Catherine Albair

Impeaching may be a possibility. His PAC needs to refund the money on his travel expenses and security details while out of State on Non-State business.

He may believe that he can govern in absentia, but the state needs a leader and as polls show, he is not that. Time for Christi to devote all of his time to Trump and leave NJ alone

BIGGEST NO-SHOW JOB IN THE STATE IS THE GOVERNOR'S

Chris Christie is a political opportunist. He is arrogant and neglectful of the citizens of New Jersey. He is brash and shows little concern for the people of his state. Is he seeking the vice presidency at the expense of the citizens of the Garden State.

John phelan

He is a disgrace, how would he help the country if he can't take care of one state

Tony Gonzalez

Christie is bad for the country and bad for the state. he may spin the unemployment numbers but New Jersey residents are leaving the state I droves because of lack of governance, school funding, and so many other problems

Anonymous

The fact that he has been absent from NJ more than he has been present in 2015 is reason alone to recall him.

Anthony Kastanas

It is time for the Govenenor to go. After being absent from the state for 261 days last year in a failed attempt for the presidency, he is now stumping for Donald Trump. This is all being done with taxpayers money for his security, travel expense and luxury living; not to mention the 8 Million dollars spent to white-wash his involvement in the Bridgegate scandal.. Enough is enough.

Anonymous

I wholeheartedly agree with the removal of Chris Christie.

Mike arlow

The most important thing we can do in this country is give our children the best education there is. It's a disgrace how much we are falling behind many of the other countries and how we have to solicit other countries to fulfill our STEM jobs!!!

Evelyn Williams

Governor Christie is a pompous man who was elected to serve NJ. All he 'serves' is his tremendous ego. I hope everyone who agrees will sign this petition!

Bruce H Davidson

Governor Christie has no interest in dealing with the very real and serious issues that face New Jersey: Many of which he created or made worse. We need leadership, not a self-promoting bully with no moral compass.

Joe Zagarella

It's clear to me that the governor has lost interest and the ability to govern this state. His endorsement of Trump sealed it for me. He needs to step down.

Christie, leave office before you do any more damage to New Jersey. You are a complete embarrassment to the state, especially after your endorsement of Trump.

Chris Christie is the epitome of self serving corrupt politicians. He should have never have been given the office and needs to be removed. He's done far too much damage already.

CC has neglected his duties as governor of NJ for too long. Continuing and obviously dead on the vine presidential campaign was bad, now spending more time out of the state and away from duties supporting another candidate is even worse. This isn't even taking into account the BS of his Bridgegate scandal (where my belief is that he most certainly knew more than has been revealed, if not acted as the primary instigator). Una Sutton

I'm a state worker for a state developmental center here in N.J. He has no respect for hard working individuals. He bases budgets on the top paid state workers not lower paid workers. I pay 1425.oo a month in rent, plus all my utilities, car payment and full car insurance. I have a 15 year old son whom I take care of without any assistance from the state or government. I'm about too graduate in feb,2017 with my B.A. of science in Human Services. I have paid into New Jersey since I had working papers and now he attacks my pension. And also wants to make me jobless. . I just don't understand what kind of evil person would try and hurt those who support the Garden State. Just sickening!

John dennis
