She makes me sick. Is it too late to file a complaint against her for her reckless misuse of power and lack of judgement and fairness she showed in a 2012 family law case I was involved in? The outcome was extremely unjust, totally devastating, and caused damage that will last a lifetime. She should be permanently barred from practicing law and be held accountable for the wrongs she has done to so many undeserving parents and children.

Olvera has no clue of what the law or the constitution were written for. She doesn't appear to care about children and allows attorneys to argue without providing much testimony or actual facts. She wants the litigants in and out as quick as possible and resets most hearings. How did this woman ever get appointed and how does she expect to practice when she is removed. She makes decesions based off of the mood that she is in going directly against her own previous orders. It is a shame that the Texas Legal System is in such poor shape. She is a prime example. LAZY!

The constitution of Texas allows for parents to have sovereign rights over their education. The removal of these children is an egregious abuse of power based, not on law, but personal bias.

Can't sue a judge. Say "thank you" to all the lawyers in the legislatures who write lawyer and judge-friendly laws.

Mr. Sandlin,
Having been the recipient of numerous adverse rulings in contravention to any legal merit, not to mention mere logic, I could not agree more that these judges should be removed and disciplined. However, there is no mechanism to do so. Judges do not have bosses. They are immune from any lawsuit, even for defamation after they call you every name in the book and not a single word of it is true. The Attorney General cannot intervene as that would violate the separation of powers. Your only recourse is an appeal, and judges and appellate courts HATE to overrule a subordinate judge. Guess why. The legislatures are full of lawyers. They write laws favoring lawyers and the need to retain them. Any many lawyers aspire to become judges, so they give judges godlike powers while leaving the common man a victim of their whims, which in some cases they can justify based on the astounding latitude they possess in the interpretation of law. In fact, the Texas Family Code is so vague [I have read much of it] that you virtually NEVER find a statement in the absolute sense, i.e.: "The judge must..." No, the Code says: "The judge may...", which means absolutely nothing and leaves all discretion to the judge. So, unfortunately, there will be no investigation of Ms. Olvera. Our only chance to be rid of her is to be rid of District Judge Garcia, who appointed Olvera, and the only way to do that is at the ballot box. Unfortunately, incumbents have immense advantage in any election.

Judge Olvera has demonstrated exceedingly poor judgment in the exercise of her duties. Upon objective reviews of the merits of the case presented to her with 3 family practice attorneys, responses included "ludicrous," "absurd," and "just plain stupid." To put it bluntly, I do not believe she is up to the job. We deserve justice and Ms. Olvera has not delivered in my experience.

Protest outside the court... anyone?! We are more powerful in numbers. She must be removed immediately before any other child is traumatized by her unjust and ridiculous rulings.

I know from experience that she does not follow the law or the evidence. I also witnessed Olvera telling someone that IF they hired an attorney she would allow them to have a hearing. That is illegal - everyone is entitled to a hearing whether pro se or not. They completely disregard the constitution and the rule of law and make injunctions that are way beyond their jurisdiction. The 256th court is reckless and lawless.

The question is why does she make rulings that are so hurtful to children? What does she have to gain?

This judge needs to be charged with child abuse and given a sentence of 25 to life for failing to protect a child and a total abuse of her power. Also no chance for early parole.

Elected officials whether they be judges or the president of the United States should be removed from office and prosecuted.
