- FCPS is in need of land upon which they can build a new school to relieve overcrowding in the Bailey’s Crossroads and Seven Corners area, and provide space for vital educational and community programs for this region.
- The Willston site is a former elementary school property that was deeded to Fairfax County in 1983.
- The county is already planning to abandon the property.
We, the undersigned, urge the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors to transfer ownership of the Willston Multicultural Center property to Fairfax County Public Schools for use as a site to build a new school that will provide vital education and community programs to the children and adults of the surrounding community.
