Conflicts have always plagued the church. Members fighting members. Leaders fighting leaders. Churches fighting churches. James 4:1-12 brings to light Christian conflict and how it should be dealt with.
To find out our very own Deacon Gilbert Moore, and several others are leaving the church because of the poor leadership of the current church administration is very disheartening. Leaders aren't being led spiritually, but are currently being dominated by selfish desires.
However, Article 1. Section J (page 27) of the Bylaws state, "The CHURCH may, for good and sufficient cause, remove any trustee from office." The same also is mentioned for deacons and deaconess. The "disunity" in God's church stops today!
Fighting in churches hinders the advance of the good news of Jesus Christ. Driven by root causes of pride and the pursuit of personal goals, fighting Christians will damage and dismantle a church's witness in a community. Do you want to renew the fellowship of the Unity Baptist Church?
By signing this petition, you are requesting the current leaders that serve as deacons, deaconess, and trustee's be reevaluated and voted on at the 3rd quarter business meeting (October 8, 2019; 7:00 p.m.) to remain in office for 2019 or be immediately removed and replaced.

The feedback I have received from many of you reveals a shared desire to restore the spiritual integrity of our congregation. I am currently preparing the formal documentation required to initiate the review process for our current administration. We must remain focused on the bylaws that provide a clear path toward necessary change.

The momentum generated by this petition reflects a collective desire to restore integrity to our church leadership. Your willingness to stand for the values outlined in our bylaws confirms that we are unified in our pursuit of a healthier congregation.

4th Quarter Business Meeting does not occur until Jan, 2020.......reevaluation should occur now and a "call" meeting held to resolve matter prior to end of CY 2019.........
The leadership of the church are not following the word of God or the church bylaws. The interim pastor is under the control of the deacon board chairman.
I have never seen anything like what is going on at Unity. We are supposed to be an example and representatives of Jesus Christ. Needless to say, we have fallen very short.
I pray that everything is being placed before God and that we will not make any decisions based on emotions... everything in the House of Worship should be done decently and in order...let us all remember that.
Children's choir needs newer songs and more children.

Some members do not know what's going on in this Church. Leaders are not acting in a leadership capacity. How do they expect for the congregation to join their auxiliary when they act in such a discussing way? That is not the way a leader conduct themselves if they expect some one to join them.
