The whole process seems shambolic. Maybe some citizen action will shame Purelake into finishing the job.

Why has the contractor been allowed to get away with this. Surely they are in breach of the court judgement. Alternatively, why has the council not rescinded the contract and re tendered it to another contractor to finish the job? Presumably there is the money left to do so, as you would presume they have not paid them in full?

This really is a blight on the area and horrible for those in the flats having to look at it every day!

Considering sydenham has had huge investment with the improvements of the high street, the derelict greyhound is a complete eyesore. Finish the job as intended.

Shocking abuse of the planning system by developers who have no respect for the area and who it is entirely appropriate to describe as "scum".

This is such an eyesore in the heart of Sydenham, the developer should really sort it out. I'm baffled that the local council and the Lewisham Mayor are not doing more to move this forward!

Usual tactics by developers who have been told to retain a building they wish to demolish - unexpected fire, remove roof, let it collapse.

It is the actions of the likes of Purelake that give developers a bad reputation. Good luck with the campaign.

The state of the site is a disgrace. When will the council finally take action?
