We used to have a very attractive building at Cobbs corner, now (and for a shocking number of years) we've had an eyesore. Purelake must give back what they stole from Sydenham.

My heart bleeds every time I go past this derelict sight, the memories if the once beautiful and iconic architecture not forgetting it's overwhelming prescence on the high street which bought me many happy memories of nights spent watching Vic Reeves and many other comedians before they went on to become great names. So where has the Greyhound gone, please rebuild it and restore our community. As Percy Byshhe Shelley famously stated: Alas, that the torn heart can bleed, but not forget!

Local traders and residents of the flats behind the pub are both complaining. We can't live with this ugly wreck of a building. Give us back our pub!

It's seven years since the Greyhound pub closed, and two years since it was partially demolished. We can't wait any longer - this ugly, sad structure is a blight on our high street and is preventing new businesses moving into the Cobbs Corner area. I call on the London Borough of Lewisham, our Mayor and MP to make this a top priority in the next few months. Please sign this petition.

Purelake have behaved disgracefully and should finish The Greyhound and re-open it without further delay
