I agree! It's time to sort this out. Sydenham is a lovely place to lice and this needs to be reflected in the buildings too!

This is a lovely local building that is now endangered due to irresponsible developers that almost demolished it. For years it's been a sad sight instead of the beautiful Sydenham landmark it was and could be. The community wants it restored for the community. We want this pub back and we want it done according to its historical value and cultural heritage.

This needs sorting - it's a shame after seven years we need a petition to encourage our elected representatives to act - but come on, get moving - don't just sit back and claim 'your hands are tied'. Act for the people who you serve, their Ward and Borough. In our austere times we can't afford not to have the revenue these businesses would bring to the Borough.

The Syd Soc is right to take a stand. The Greyhound site is an eyesore and should be rebuilt without delay. There is too much dragging of feet!

Having successfully prosecuted Purelake for their unauthorised demolition of the Greyhound, it is incumbent upon London Borough of Lewisham to do all it can to ensure the pub is rebuilt. The Mayor of Lewisham and the chief executive and his officers should prepare and implement a strategy for securing the rebuilding of the pub as a matter of urgency. Purelake must not be allowed to get away with their continued failure to rebuild the Greyhound.

This was an act of senseless vandalism by a company that seem to only bleed communities dry for profit... Sydenham deserves better!

I lived in SE26 until 1973, Greyhound PH was always my family and friends pub of choice. Followed proceedings with disgust!!
