The borough has officially approved the plans to move forward with the reconstruction of Funtown Pier. I appreciate the commitment shown by each person who added their name to this effort. We will continue to observe the development process closely as the work begins.

This petition is for the owners of the Funtown Pier and the borough of Seaside Park, New Jersey. We want the Funtown Pier rebuilt. The owners are willing to spend millions of dollars to make this happen. We want the borough of Seaside Park to understand what this pier has meant to the millions of vacationers that have spent their vacation dollars not only at the Funtown Pier but at the local businesses and motels and summer home rentals. Without the pier, with the loss of revenue for the local businesses, this town could be decimated in the years to come. Please help us show these people that there is a majority of people that want this pier rebuilt.

Reflecting on the numerous stories posted here reminds me that this pier represents more than just a destination for many families. I am currently drafting a formal letter to the borough officials to present your collective perspective on the economic necessity of this project. Constant engagement remains essential to ensure the owners and local government recognize the scale of public interest in this restoration.

The 2 pier boardwalk is a treasured part of my life, as well as many generations before and after me. I truly feel that if it is rebuilt Seaside Heights and Seaside Park will be revived as a "family" summer paradise once again.
Please please rebuild. We bought our condo 1block away from Funtown because we loved it. It is just awful without it. I don't even like going down anymore. It is not the same. I don't care if you build rides to touch the clouds. IF YOU BUILD ITTHEY WILL COME!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've been vacationing in Seaside Park for over 50 years. Funtown Pier had always been a huge part of our family fun, I have so many amazing memories. How awesome would it be for my children and grandchildren to be able to have Funtown Pier be part of their family vacations. The boardwalk isn't the same, neither is the town of Seaside Park. It's pretty sad
I've been down seaside every year for vacation for a week for many years now bringing a couple of my grandchildren with me. Buikding Funtown pier will benefit all.Make fun again for these little ones with more rides and games.make it the place it was before Sandy an the fire.
Come on build the new Funtown pier.....would hate to see condos and bars put there instead of rides and fun things....you cant be serious.....G....

The Township of Seaside needs to let William Major rebuild the Funtown Pier as it was before or better! Businesses will come back to the south side of the boardwalk, and the town will create jobs and make money in the end! Its very depressing without Funtown Pier. Lets get it done!
