I am appalled at the continuing noise from a small number of members who seem to think they have some kind of privilege to be more important than the Club. This matter was thoroughly dealt with last year and its time for our President and Board to show real leadership and courage in staring down this squeaky wheel which is not rounded like our Rotary wheel. We need to protect our membership from this harmful group and I fully support this petition.

Any new investigation is unlikely to resolve the issues but will be very divisive. Let us move forward positively without taking sides. All parties need to put the events of last year behind us and get on with doing the good works of Rotary Melbourne or we risk further damaging our great club.

As a Board member 20/21, I was involved to thoroughly investigate and reach the unanimous decision in the Hugh Bucknall case. I am therefore appalled by any suggestion that the case be reopened and this decision is an affront to me personally and all other members of the previous Board.
