The City of Little Rock, Arkansas has made several budget cuts across the city for 2010. One of which is closing Rebsamen Tennis Center on Wednesday and Thursday. The center hosts a large number of players on these nights with their leagues as well as tennis lessons, high school tennis and USTA league tennis.

Players will still be able to use the courts on these days but there will be no lights after dark, no pro shop and no restroom.

We as tennis players in the central Arkansas community are gathering signatures to approach the city leaders about not closing the tennis center and if it must be closed 2 days a week, close on Friday and Sunday, which are the lightest traffic days at the facility.
