Sons of Thunder was the spin-off series of Walker: Texas Ranger. This series was aired on CBS back in March of 1999. The show lasted six episodes before CBS cancelled it due to budget concerns.

Sons of Thunder was about a Detective named Carlos Sandoval who resigns from the Dallas Police Department after his partner was murdered. He then meets up with his childhood friend Trent Malloy, an ex-military martial arts instructor. Together they decide to form a private investigation business. Trent's brother, Tommy, ex-cop turned bartender Butch McMann, and feisty office manager Kim Sutter help them out from time to time. The cynical Detective Ryan fills the Inspector Lestrade role. Sometimes this show delves into darker territory than its predecessor.

Now is the perfect time to petition for this series because their are so many old classic television shows that are in the process of being rebooted or have already been rebooted. Shows like Hawaii Five-O, Fuller House, Rush Hour, and even Macgyver are all examples of this. Sons of Thunder has all the qualities that people today look for in a series. It has action, crime, drama, romance, and even that thrill factor that keeps an audiences attention.

Sons of Thunder had gotten better ratings then the last two seasons of it's predecessor Walker Texas Ranger. This series also appealed to both males and females of the older and younger audiences. The main point is that this series wasn't cancelled because of poor ratings or a lack of a fan base. Sons of Thunder needs a reboot, six episodes wasn't nearly enough to be called satisfying for this series.

With all the reboots being ordered, there's not doubt that Sons of Thunder needs to be added to the line up. This series needs the opportunity to redeem itself and to do that I'll need all of your help.
