It's a travesty the school board has allowed FHS's facilities to get in such disrepair, not to mention the total inequity of athletic assets compared to the rest of the county. Passing by the school on Hillsboro Road or driving back and seeing all the fields provides a very false illusion. Columbia State controls a large portion. Cheek Park controls most of the fields. Franklin is supposed to be a flagship school. We need the school board and community to step up and treat it that way.

The WCS Board and WC Commisiiners need to come up with a solution to the guns and parks law! This is been a significant issue for well over a year and they've done nothing. State law would still prohibit guns during school activities. Seems like that takes care of the issue. Playing at others schools is not a solution.

When my husband and I flew back for one of our Grandson's first Franklin High School football games we were shocked at the age and condition of the facilities. The bathrooms were an embarrassment! Later my daughter took us to see the weight room and quite frankly I had better facilities 50 years ago at a girls school! I hope this petition gets the attention it deserves.

It's time to bring FHS up to the same athletic standards as the other HS in the county. Our athletes deserve up to date weight rooms & locker rooms. Our female athletes shouldn't have to change clothes in their cars! Our dance teams and cheer squads shouldn't have to practice in the halls. Shame on this school board for letting Franklin High School get to this point. It's an embarrassment.

We should not have to remind the Williamson County School Board, County Commissioners or FHS Administration that these are the children that they have been elected to serve and protect the best interest of!!!!! There is NO EXCUSE that we are having to justify any of these basic request on behalf of our children ....
