REbeL for Rudd
I'm sure we can all agree that Paul Rudd is awesome-sauce, right? And maybe you also know - or maybe not, but now you do - that he loves all things Kansas City. And the kids. Of course, the kids. Well, we've got both going for us!
REbeL is a grassroots non-profit organization that started in Overland Park, Kansas in 2009 in one high school with just 20 passionate students to address body image and disordered eating among teens. Our mission is to change the definition of beauty and health for every body. Since then, our innovative, research-based, peer education program has grown to over 35 middle and high schools in 5 different states (woo!) and has impacted hundreds of teens (double woo!). But as the pressures faced by our kids continue to increase - along with eating disorders, depression, anxiety, bullying, and suicidality - programs like REbeL are needed more than ever. In all schools.
Yep, ALL schools. We couldn't be prouder of our humble Kansas City beginnings, but we dream BIG. So big that we aim to change the world. So big that we are petitioning for Paul Rudd to emcee our upcoming event, the Be You Bash on September 16th. The Be You Bash is a celebration of all that makes you YOU and is the primary fundraiser to support programming in the schools and our national growth. And who better to stand up as an advocate of our mission than a good ol' Kansas City guy who totally rocks his YOUness.
A group of our REbeL teens put together this one-minute video to help us with our ask because well, it never hurts to ask. And in the words of Brian Fantana, 60% of the time it works EVERY time.

We're harnessing the incredible power of online petitioning to get Paul Rudd. REbeL for Rudd! REbeL for Rudd! Will you help us turn up the volume on our virtual REbeL for Rudd chant? No need to actually chant. But you can if you want to! All we need is a signature. No strings attached. No spam e-mails. Just good juju.
On behalf of all of us at REbeL and the hundreds of kids who need to hear our message, thank you for your support.
