The Animal Welfare Act, published in 1966, was written before our understanding of animals really developed. At this point, we understand animals feel pain, which should lead us to really reassess what occurs in the lab. 115 MILLION animals are killed each year. The more important part is what occurs between their entrance into the lab and their death. They are constantly abused and subjected to vaccines that cause death/extreme pain.

im still reading through all the stories people are sharing in the comments and it honestly breaks my heart that so many of you have seen this stuff firsthand. its clear that the system is way outdated and honestly its time we demand better than what they are currently getting away with.

i honestly cant believe how quickly this is taking off. it feels like people are finally starting to realize how outdated these laws are and seeing all this support makes me feel like we might actually see some change.

This is so heart breaking. How can people be so cruel to innocent animals that cant speak for themselves??
My dog is my family and I cant imagine him being treated like this. Breaks my heart to think about it. End this practice!
Why we dont test on humans, who are violent phedophil and abuse children????!!!!
Its 2017 we have computers and better ways to test things now. No more using living souls for labs.
TEST ON CRIMINALS INSTEAD! LEAVE THESE POOR CREATURES ALONE!!
Stop the cruelty to animals. DO THE RIGHT THING!!!
