Julie Bindell has been treated shamefully and deserves an apology if nothing else

Discourteous, illogical, disappointing, hoping to see a more gracious follow up,

Apologizing for inviting a speaker to talk about the sexual exploitation of women? How disgustingly sexist.

I've spoken to my mum about shopping here. I will buy her what she needs online in future. We are appalled at the nasty, sexist behaviour of this company

If Readings Bookshop wants to be known as nasty, petty, vindictive and misogynistic... it's doing a good job. If not - they need to apologise. Now.

Its appalling that a bookshop censors anybody, but the fact that they have chosen to set themselves against a woman who has worked tirelessly to prevent violence against women and girls beggars belief. Following that up with their endorsement of a male person who suggests killing women is acceptable makes it difficult to see any other motivation but pure, unadulterated hatred of women.

A feminist bookshop that wont sell feminist books. I think they might not of thought this through. Not sure who they assume will be buying their books?

Mark Rubbo - is outrageous to treat anyone with such total disrespect.

Disgraceful not to allow free & fair speech. And also disgraceful not to apologise for it.

You owe Julie Bindel a huge apology. Making a public statement, regretting a popular and successful event 3 years later, due to pressure is idiotic.

A bookshop should stand for ideas, learning, & curiosity, not for silencing & erasing. Apologise to Julie Bindel to demonstrate you are worth women’s continued time.

Without listing a stereotype or an emotion, what does Woman (or Man) FEEL like? This will be a PR disaster for Readngs once they understand how their ‘woke’ agenda is further harming women. Trans rights should not come at the expense of Women’s hard fought, sex-based rights and protections.

This is seriously wrong on so many levels. You cannot stop women’s voices, many have tried, you will fail,

Oh for God's sake get a grip Readings - your retrospective 'cancelling' of Julie Bindel's talk held in 2018 is farcical, not to mention cowardly. And offensive to a staunch advocate of women's rights, which are vanishing by the day due to people like you.

You owe Julie an apology. What you did was shameful.
