We the undersigned representing the citizens of Reading, PA hereby reject Mayor Thomas McMahon's plan to increase property taxes by 20.4%. The City of Reading raised the property tax 20 percent last year, and if City Council approves the new hike, the two-year increase would create an undue hardship on the constituents of Reading which is already economically distressed. We are concerned citizens who urge our city council leaders to act now to not pass and approve this disastrous financial plan.
