Maybe all of the over paid up aboves should consider a small pay cut, rather than taking away from our children. After all what are we paying taxes for, so you can live comfortably & drive expensive cars, or our children's learning?

When we moved here from NH my son was in first grade, He was behind his peers in reading and if it was not for Mrs, Portno and the reading recovery program he would not have achieved the success in reading that he did.

This program tremendously helped my son. It completely turned him into a reader. It would be a huge loss for our children to eliminate it from the schools.

I have seen how this program works for kids! I think it would be a terrible thing not to help children who need it. Can't you people make any wise choices?

This program is excellent and works well, why would you eliminate this? Especially in favor of a cheaper program that doesn't have nearly the success rate? Please, the kids are going through enough transitions... Leave this alone. It WORKS! Stop trying to cheapen education.

We should have more than one reading program to meet individual student needs. Do not stop what is working for kids to replace with another but allow teacher freedom to make choice to benefit students.

My son benefited greatly from this program. Getting help so early in his educational career is so important to him thriving later. Don't short change the children.

It is impossible to have an effective school department, unless you are willing to do the hard work. The school committee must support educators. Hire the number of teachers it takes to education Warwick's students. Fight for our students. Don't work against them.

If it wasn't for reading recovery and my sons amazing reading teacher in first grade(Mrs. Eaton) my son and I would still be struggling. It is a great program and it saddens me to see it even being a thought to take it away from these kids
Keep this program.
I can't imagine not being able to read well.
