Re-Zoning in Deerfield Plantation

This is very concerning for many reasons. First, traffic. There is already too much traffic on 544 and in the Wal Mart areas. I have children who ride their bikes regularly. Putting these buildings here will endanger them. Also, evacuation routes. We are already limited and adding that many residents--or anymore for that matter would be an endangerment to all residents including the new ones in the apartments. Opening the gates, or adding more infil/exfil points would put a lot of though traffic into the neighborhoods when traffic overflows on 544. From 17 Bypass to Business on 544 is already a congested area. Two, property values. Three, crime. More people equals more crime. Current residents here in Deerfield are mostly owners. With tenants and rentals, it is no secret to what comes with it. The current Deerfield community consist of many retired residents who purchased in this area for peace and quiet. Four, drainage and road issues. We already have too many roads that can barely be travelled. There are too many concerns in this area already. There are other places to build. Please, please reconsider.

1592 Bay Tree Ln. Our roads can't handle the requested rezoning. No to condos. Keep the Zoning as Single Family Homes.

1601 Gibson Avenue Our roads are maintained through our POA fees. How is it fair to us to add the traffic that 350+ multi unit apartments/condos will cause? They have an ingress/egress on Gibson Ave and our once quiet street will become a major highway. Please leave the zoning as is!

We were told, after a long legal hassle, that it would all be zoned R3. The flooding/drainage issues and traffic increase on roads not designed to handle it are reason enough Not to rezone. Greed should not win over the wellbeing of the current, many long-term residents. It is not the right thing to do. Faye Stutz

We are AGAINST the current plans for more apartments to be built. This area should be used for better things for the community such as a park, pools or Market Common style shops to increase property values and make everyone's quality of life better in the community.

1950 Bent Grass Drive Totally against the rezoning. The roads can’t handle the traffic now, this will add to an already huge problem.

1784 Crooked Pine Drive, Myrtle Beach, SC. I oppose additional multi-family housing. Addressing the drainage issues we have in this neighborhood first. Addressing the access in and out over our undedicated roads that have not met the base requirements of a county road. Adamantly say NO!
