This have happened too often over the years even thought its a valid charge, the customers made these purchases, goes to the events and feel like they dont need to pay and then thats a major loss for a lot of innocent companies!

Businesses need to be protected from the policies set by banks which only protect themselves.

As our economy is becoming more and more internet-based, it is necessary to implement better controls to protect merchants from the ever-increasing trend of fraudulent chargebacks.

This has been a problem for quite some time. There's no one to stand up for the merchants. I'm a small family run company that works on very tight profit margins. One chargeback could wipe out our profit for days worth of business. It's not fair.

The system is rigged against the merchant. IF the credit cards want to offer no fraud loss then they should have to pay for it not us the small merchant. Plus to show how bad the game is fixed we have won civil suites against cardholders that did frivolous chargebacks and won we should not have to take someone to court for our funds

It's a shame that as merchants we can provide proof of fraud but no one will listen!

The current rules put all the burden on the merchant. Credit card companies are allowing charge backs even when merchandise is signed for and delivered to the billing address.

Customers would prefer their banks verify information such as phone numbers and email addresses but banks don't care about merchants at all and won't even listen to their own customers

There is a deep need for regulation of these practices that affect merchants and cardholders negatively.

It is TRULY SAD when you have the actual cardholders committing this type of FRAUD and see this no less than 2-3 attempts yearly by cardholders. They SHOULD BE CHARGED AND YET AREN'T AS THE BANKS PREFER TO MAKE THE MERCHANT TAKE THE FINANCIAL HIT!!!

These policies are secretly destroying US small business. The place all liability on the merchant and none on banks.
