Whitehaven is like a ghost town now with all the business closures this extra money grab will be the end of the town!

our town is on its knees, barely any shops in the town and you want to charge £1.80 per hour to park on the streets????? try enticing shops into whitehaven instead of chasing them and visitors away. I certainly wont be paying to park in Whitehaven, id rather go elsewhere!

This will, without doubt affect business in Whitehaven. We need to focus on supporting and encouraging business. We are already the most expensive for parking., have the most speed bumps and an awful traffic system. Huge deterrant for the town centre.
