Re-think the planned £1.80/hr parking charge for Whitehaven!

We should keep the free parking disc zones or local shops who are already struggling will lose trade. Why pay for parking when you can order things on line with free delivery. The only reason I buy things locally is because of convenience, if I have to pay for parking I won't bother to shop

thats disgusting. I didn't see anywhere near them prices when i lived in manchester city centre.

Just paid and displayed in Carlisle and it was £4 all day just off Botchergate. Get a grip CBC!

Extraordinary and spitefulcharges to ensure the continued demise of Whitehaven commerce and businesses. And Copeland B.C. remains silent - out of spite for the commumities demand for and Elected Mayor and a Whitehaven Town Council. Disgraceful and wilful all round.

I don't drive however I do strongly disagree with this charge many people are on low pay they will be paying more out of their wages on parking fees. Totally in fare to give other 'organisations' the monopoly on parking in the town.
