This is something I wanted since I was a kid. Unfortunately I didn't have that kind of money and now that I'm older I would love to be able to buy this set.

I bought this immediately when it was first released but when I had to leave my home in FL to take care of my dad in VA I donated it to a church youth group (along with a UCS ISD and a UCS Death Star). I'd love to get the set back but no way can I touch the 4-5k prices anymore.

This set needs to be re-released, and be available world wide! (it was never available officially where I lived) Please Lego make it happen in 2017!

I believe it would be in the best interest of the Lego corporation to make another Ultimate Collector's Edition of the Millennium Falcon from the Star Wars movies.
Years ago when the original came out it was a success, but back then Lego did not have nearly as many fans nor as many serious collectors as it does today. Today people are selling these models online for insane prices which are largely unparalleled with any other retired Lego set.
Therefore, with these things in mind, it would not come as a surprise that creating and selling a new model would be very profitable for the corporation and very pleasing for the increasing number of fans and collectors. I for one would most definitely purchase such a model.
Furthermore, the 40th anniversary of the first Star Wars movie is coming in 2017 so it would make sense to release such a model then. I hope this petition helps and whomever is in charge of deciding what becomes a kit will read this and decide that we may once more be able to purchase one. All those who were unable to buy this set when it came out, myself included, want to buy one of these sets today and are willing to purchase it if it were to come out.

TFA design just isn't cutting it and I can't afford a bajillion bucks to buy the original.
