Please open the library as an OWL. We can save lives by doing this.
Thanks,

Bascom Library & Community Center has been selected instead of Tully, despite being far less convenient to as many unhoused people as Tully would be. Bascom is also located poorly for transit to get to and from the OWL at the hours it opens and closes. There are only two showers in the rec center, and no plans to bring the Dignity on Wheels mobile showers. Please open Tully instead of Bascom (or both if you can get more funding).

People are dying on our streets. Our homeless are among those who built America.

3/4 of unhoused population is unsheltered in SC county. Unacceptable!

When has sleeping in front of a doorway become the norm? This is unacceptable.

With cold weather coming, those without home will need a safe place to rest.

More locations are needed to try and meet the needs of the least of us. It would also be great if we connected them with services in the OWLs.

There needs to be a warming station in every District and the Council representative needs to fund them...
