The fact that governmental activities are considered essential and private business is considered non-essential is a travesty. Governmental activities cannot continue without the support of the electors who elected said government officials and their personnel. Taxes help pay for governmental activities. When businesses are closed and no taxes are thereby collectable based upon lack of business revenue decreasing the amount of taxes payable to the governing entities. And the employees of said businesses are thereby no longer receiving their paychecks, and preventing the payment of any taxes over time, the government thereby being unable to receive any revenue to cover their operations by extension should also close down their activities. Taxes such as Property Taxes therefore should also by extension be excused and no longer collectable from the population because they have been forced out of work and no longer able to receive a paycheck making them unable to pay any ensuing taxes. When the population cannot work because of government/political edict, then the population is exempt from any taxes or other payments which would accrue as a result further decreasing governmental revenue.

As a disabled vet and retired disabled ICE officer I have a small veteran owned and run firearms instruction and consulting business. Ever since the El Paso zwalmart shooting business has declined now business is all but gone. I feel shutting Texas down and extending its shutdown further my business will be forced to shutdown for good and my activision protecting, promoting, and preserving the 2nd amendment and providing firearms safety, awareness, education, and training will be gone for good and many people like me will suffer the same and our 2nd amerr ndment will take a heavy lose. One that the anti-gun lobby will boast and claim as victory. Please, Governor Abbott, do NOT let this occur. Let Texas open. Let the 2nd Amendment live on.

Closing businesses and state parks is not rational given the data, the facts, compared to any flu season. Time has come to peacefully restore liberty of the voting taxpayers.
