This was my life Line because I used it 3-4 times a week, I feel lost without it . I was very sad when it closed

With little explanation or forewarning this is a huge loss to the local community - both in terms of participation and employment, but also the social opportunities it provides. Seriously, explain and reconsider the decision.

My friends use the sports club on a regular basis and cannot understand why there was no discussion regarding its closure. Please reconsider the closure as it provides a valuable facility for the local community.

I had a gut feeling that the club would close in the near future due to the apparant lack of interest in the club from the school......for example maintenance of equipment was very poor and the closure recently for one day due to lack of staff availability wasn't a good sign. However I did expect a period of consultation and notice from the School prior to any closure, NOT the amateurish and shameful approach they used. What a terrible example to the Children of how to run a business, this has certainly damaged the reputation of the School in the local community and the wider area ! I think most people will certainly think twice before joining again if run by the same organisation, the reputation it once had is severely damaged.

We came down twice a week as a family, ever since our children were babies. We have made some lovely friends down at the sportsclub as have our children. It was a lovely safe, friendly environment and we miss it greatly.

I worked here some time before the closure but I find it absolutely ridiculous to close a club with so many staff relying on their wages to get to college and uni and some even holidays! It is not acceptable to close a club with a few minutes notice, poor decision that's had a catastrophic affect on a whole community.

I am appalled at the actions of Rishworth School in the way they closed the club without reason or notice. It is depriving local citizens of a much valued and well used facility. Surely the school could have consulted with club members to find a way forwards.

I have been swimming here for over 20 years and my son was day pupil at rishworth school, feel badly let down
