Recently had the back splitter off our car stolen and have had to invest in dropping the kerb and putting security cameras up outside our property.i feel Porthcawl has become an easy target for thieves since the cuts made us loose our local police station! We need it back the population here with Trecco as well is too large not to have one and since it's closure the crime rate here has increased and people don't feel safe in their own town anymore :-(

The amount of Tourism Porthcawl receives every year, it's only common courtesy that should say, if a crime happened to me today in this Gorgeous place that I can receive help asap from The Local Police.

Being a busy seaside town footfall daily and during the holiday period olus also being a halfway house to released people from local prisons and the increase with petty and serious crime occuring we need to have our station back we are trying to promote Porthcawl as a first port of call you think of visiting with family and friends but currently this is not the case.

This town is turning into a hotbed of crime, particularly with young teenagers who seem to be able to carry out whatever damage they like, without the likelihood of being prosecuted. Criminals know we don't have a police station and they are taking advantage of it. Without a police station crime will continue to increase, and increase in severity. What is it going to take before things change?
