Riverside is too far away. Closing Marchbanks was short sighted, taking no account of the needs of a large % of the population of Dundee

This should never have closed down. The closing of marchbanks just encouraged people to fly tip, the evidence speaks for itself in the waste ground beside the houses at beechwood.

Marchbanks should never have been closed in the first place. There has been an increase in flytipping around Baldovan/Strathmartine Hospital/Bridgefoot area in the past few years.

Marchbanks was a well-used community facility - there was always one of our neighbours taking stuff round and asking if anyone wanted anything taken. They would combine it with a trip to Tesco or B&Q.
This made it very efficient. Driving across the city is a much bigger trip - and where are you going to be going in the direction of Baldovie or Riverside??

Closing Merchbanks was the worst idea Dundee City Council came up with. I would not waste my time driving to the other end of the City to Recycle my stuff. If Dundee City Council want to meet and keep their Recycling Target, they should re-open it.
