We have started a petition to help Re-Open Kinder Swimmer. King County closed Kinder Swimmer's doors because they weren't commercially permitted and they will not allow them to reopen while we go through their required process. Closing Kinder Swimmer is depriving children and adults from Maple Valley, Renton and the surrounding areas from learning how to swim. There is a great need for our specialized instruction and warm water pools. Many children, including children with special needs, are unable to participate in the larger County swim programs. The colder water temperature of these County pools and large facilities bring anxiety and inhibit the learning process. Kinder Swimmer pools offer a smaller environment, conducting only one class at a time. Each class has only four students in the regular swim classes and we keep the pools at 92 degrees to help the children focus on learning to swim. Please reopen the pool. My 2 year old daughter and almost 4 year old son ask almost everyday when they can go swimming again. The public pools do not offer enough availability for my husband and I's schedule to be able to go to a class.
Please re-open. My son was successfully skilled in swimming by these trained professionals. He still asks me to bring him because of the loving attention of a small space without other distractions & the warm personal pool!
Kinder Swimmer has been amazing for my kids. We tried other places but this is the only place we saw real results! My 4 year old can now swim with no life vest. He misses his swimming class. Kids needs these life saving skills!
Kinder swimmer has taught my 3 boys more skills then any other swimming program. It is well run and a great learning environment for a vulnerable and impressionable population. By forcing it to close you ultimately taking away a safe learning space for our children.
Kinder swimmer has helped so many. Children learn to swim safely and I'm grateful my grandkids learned from the BEST! There are also many kids with disabilities that benefit from kinderswimmer pools instead for public pools. Please help them reopen!! The kids depend on them!
Other pools are too freezing cold for my super skinny 4 year old. Driving to the Renton location is pretty lame from Black Diamond. Please let them re-open!

I'm continuously frustrated living in King County and seeing how difficult they make life for business and property owners. Shutting down a small business that teaches children a life saving skill like swimming is an embarrassment for this county.
