Re-Open Arlington Catholic Schools This Fall

Schools must open. Distance learning is insufficient. Our children and our families need school.

Please open our schools, Bishop Burbidge. On-line learning simply causes stress and loneliness.

I support this request for Catholic schools in Arlington to open this fall and look forward to my children returning.

One of the main reasons I send my kids to St. Agnes is to avoid being impacted by the generally incompetent and inefficient decisions of the leadership of Arlington Public Schools. The diocese has the authority to decide this issue for the children and families of our parishes. It should do so in this case.

Please open the schools!!!

We fully support opening the schools in the Fall and would hope all decisions are based on the science listed in the letter, instead of hysteria. At this point the mental health of our students is more at risk than the risk of them getting Covid.

We support this petition wholeheartedly and think it is in the best interest of the children to return to school in the fall.

We need to open our schools, online learning it’s not learning at all!

The legacy of Catholic education is the education of the whole child at the choice and expense of the parents. I urge the Bishop and Superintendent to focus on the best interests of the students education while giving parents the choice of how they prefer their children to be educated, consistent with this legacy.

Our family loves and supports sending our children to St Agnes school. We have built our family/careers/housing choices around ensuring our children are able to continue to be apart of this community. It would truly be heartbreaking to be unable to continue their education here during the fall. Our family cannot support continued online learning and would be forced to change their schooling come the fall if classes are not reopened. Please reopen classes and let’s move on together in faith, love, and community.

Truly believe in sending our children to St. Agres. We do not want to be forced to utilize public or other available school options for the fall.
