Joe Sanford Jr. gave so much back to a community, that needed a man like Joe. He was someone to be admired. His life was so meaningful to others. I think showing youth today that this was a man anyone would be proud to aspire to become. I would be proud to see a school renamed after a man that put everyone's life before his own. Joe wasn't just a hero, he was the man we should all try to be. In life and in death Joe was one of the nicest and most admirable men I had ever had the pleasure of knowing. I write this with a heavy heart and hope that his name can be keep alive so kids have a chance to become the best person they could be. There should have to be no consideration to the name change of the school, it should just be done. Kids should walk into a building of honor and nobility.
