The undergraduate students, faculty, alumni, staff, and friends of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at the North Carolina A&T State University, request Chancellor Harold Martin, Provost Joe Whitehead, and Dean Gloria Jones-Johnson to reinstate our caring, hardworking, and accomplished chair, Dr. Yahya Kamalipour, to the position for which he was hired.

Apparently, our voices and perspectives do not matter because no one has bothered to meet with the JOMC faculty or students to discuss the pressing issues at hand, before making a unilateral and unfortunate decision impacting us, the department, and our new chair.

We applaud and thank Dr. Kamalipour for his tireless work toward transforming JOMC, retaining accreditation, and setting it up on the road to success. His work is reflected throughout our department and we would like to have him reinstated.
