A higher education institution should provide full due process for faculty and staff. To terminate an experienced and respected faculty member with no opportunity for Dr. Elsesser to defend himself is wrong and an embarrassment to HSSU.

It is time to stop placing and retaining only those whom we are in agreement with in places of employment - especially in academia. the world of education should be filled with people with diverse opinions and perspectives. To dismiss someone for activities that may differ from that of the administration shows a weakness of thought and forethought; a weakness of sight and insight. Unless of course you wish to raise lemmings to send out into the world.

Prof. Elsesser is the best teacher I have had at any level of education and I have a Masters Degree from Washington University. Not only did Prof/ Elsesser teach me history better than any person I have met, but he changed the course of my life and inspired me to pursue my own career in history.

Dr. Else's ser was definitely one of the most entertaining but yet intelligent professor that I have had here at HSSU. out of all of the professors that I have came into contact with, he is one out of the few that I believe is passionate about his job. Dr. Elsesser has made such an impact on our students at this institution and very much deserves to continue to do so with a contract at HSSU.

I had Brian Elsesser as a Professor when I was at Webster University for a class on the Civil War. It is the only history class I have taken that I actually enjoyed and will never forget. I would leave his class and feel ready to take on the world. Many of my friends that took his class felt the same way.

Dr. Elsesser was easily one the greatest people I have ever come to know. There is not a reason I could ever dream of to fire this brilliant man. Do the right thing and re-instate him

Magnificent teacher not just in the classroom however he installs vital life lessons that we can use throughout our entire life. He is the epitome of a teacher and for those who has had him will tell you he is a great person as well

Dr. Elsesser is one of a kind. He has been there for me since i have attended his class. Elsesser had encouraged me alot even with my suicidal situation back in november 2013. He wasnt only a great teacher he was great person to come to about any problems. If it wasnt for him i would have not trust myself int achiving my college career. As far as i know everyone loved Dr. Elsesser.

This action is an incredible embarrassment for Harris-Stowe. If the university cares at all about its reputation, it will reverse this decision as soon as possible.
