The university has officially reversed their decision and Dr. Elsesser is returning to his position. Thank you for pushing this faculty rights issue forward until we forced their hand. Keep checking your inbox for updates on how we plan to hold the administration accountable moving forward.
Stand in support of Dr. Brian Elsesser! After 11 years of dedicated & excellent service to students, we believe that Dr. Elsesser was unjustly denied a university contract for organizing faculty at HSSU. Urge the Board of Regents and Administration of HSSU to re-instate Dr. Elsesser by signing this petition. All workers have a constitutional right to organize!
The university administration remains silent while we build this momentum. Email the Board of Regents today and demand a public explanation for this decision. Text three friends the link to this page so they understand exactly what is happening to our faculty.

While I am not a fan of Dr, Elsesser I feel it important for the faculty to have the right to a union and any action that deters that is an injustice to your staff!!!!

I'm finally re enrolling back this fall and was excited to be taking his classes again. He is one of the best professors at that school and a student favorite. I will absolutely petition for him! I need him there this fall!

Faculty have a right to organize. Do not distroy the institution by penalizing faculty for thinking and taking ethical actions. Doing this will greatly diminish the quality of education. Educated people analyze situations and take reasonable actions to improve situations.

A higher education institution should provide full due process for faculty and staff. To terminate an experienced and respected faculty member with no opportunity for Dr. Elsesser to defend himself is wrong and an embarrassment to HSSU.

Prof. Elsesser is the best teacher I have had at any level of education and I have a Masters Degree from Washington University. Not only did Prof/ Elsesser teach me history better than any person I have met, but he changed the course of my life and inspired me to pursue my own career in history.

This action is an incredible embarrassment for Harris-Stowe. If the university cares at all about its reputation, it will reverse this decision as soon as possible.
