Danielle Sommer Kieta is an affordable housing consultant and small business owner. She joined the Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Council and the housing and development committee this winter and is currently running for re-election. She is a life-long resident and participant in the community. Passionate about affordable housing and urban agriculture, Danielle went to Boston Public Schools and then to Bowdoin College where she earned her degree in Sociology with a minor in Government and Legal Studies. In the many years since graduating, she has dedicated her time and career to community, including several local non-profits dedicated to youth and community leadership.

She believes it is really important that the neighborhood council represent and reflect the diversity of our community. And she is excited to continue to serve Jamaica Plain and to support the JPNC.
