This petition is directed towards the Toronto Rock organization in hopes that they will smarten up and trade Ryan Benesch to a team that will actually use his talents. Ryan Benesch is a professional lacrosse player who is currently a "bench player" for the Toronto Rock. He is a former first overall draft pick and was named the National Lacrosse League's Rookie of the Year in 2007. During his rookie season, Ryan amassed 33 goals and 25 assists to led all rookies on his way to being named ROTY. His second season in the NLL, Benesch scored 19 goals and assisted on 31 others. However, as the Rock headed towards the end of the 2008 season, fans could notice a problem beginning to arise between head office and Benesch as he was benched for the final two games. The Rock missed playoffs for the first time in franchise history. As this is only the beginning of the 2009 season, we are optimistic that head office will put aside their differences with Ryan and place him in the line-up. But just in case, this petition is here to show Rock head office that their fans will not stand by and watch talent go to waste. PLAY HIM OR TRADE HIM!
