The stories coming in from other students highlight how diverse our learning needs truly are. Reading these accounts reminds me that this is about ensuring everyone has an equal opportunity to succeed in their studies. I am currently reaching out to faculty members to understand if there is any flexibility regarding the upcoming changes to our course materials.

Reaching this current level of support demonstrates how deeply students value the tactile experience of learning. It is clear that many people feel their educational needs are being overlooked by these upcoming policy changes.

I have 2 kids and need to take my books with me and use them at times when I don't have access to a computer. I also get headaches sitting in front of a computer for hours while I read the 4-5 books I have (depending on how many classes I'm taking at the time).
Keep physical books! Why are we paying 150.00 a class for materials if we wont even receive the physical book? Etextbooks are rentals that we cannot even keep for future reference. Etextbooks cause strain to the eyes and are difficult to study with. They impede my learning experience.
I much prefer physical books to eBook, even more so than the eBooks Rasmussen uses. It makes it worse that these eBooks are just rentals on a website. Many books, especially for multi-part courses and career related texts, are needed beyond just the quarter that the course is in. Forcing eBooks on the students and now having to pay extra to get a physical book is poor practice.
I do not like ebooks at all and find it impossible to use them. I also get a headache reading many pages on line. I struggle to understand the info while trading a n ebook. It is better for me to have a physical textbook.
Really need physical books option that doesn't cost the student more.
I do not like that they are taking away the option for physical texts. I like referring back to some books for other classes. If they are taking away our options they should certainly drop prices.
I need physical books as I cannot read with artificial lighting plus what happens when the power goes out? This has not been thought well. No e-books we need them for future studies and reference material through out other courses.

In I.T. industry, we re-use our texbooks for the industry. Doesn't make sense to have etext when we loose access to those books after course is over;moreover, it we pay a book materials fee and the that fee hasn't even gone down.
