A MINOR HOMELESS GIRL VIOLENTLY
GANG RAPED,NOW GOES HUNGRY

THIS NECESSARILY DEMANDS ENSURED JUSTICE & IMMEDIATE ACTION  FROM THE PROSECUTING AGENCIES & RESPONSIVENESS FROM THE LARGER CIVIL SOCIETY.

We are profoundly disturbed to have received news of a heinous crime inflicted upon a six year old homeless girl in the National Capital Territory of Delhi (NCR)-INDIA who now not only suffers Justice at large but also lives in acute hunger in the run up of the Common Wealth Games (CWG)

It is reported that the incident occurred on the night of  8th September,2010 when she was selling balloons, near Metro Pillar 160, Pusa Road( 100 m away from a Police Post) at around 20:00 hrs dtd. 08.09.2010.

She was violently gang raped & dumped the next morning in very dilapidated conditions. Subsequently a F.I.R. (First Information Report) was registered of the offence U/S 376/34 of the I.P.C.(Indian Penal Code, 1860), dated 09.09.2010 at Prasad Nagar Police Station, Central District, New Delhi.

The hapless parents of the victim go from pillar to post to seek justice for the child. However, on pursuing the officials to know the progress, if any, at zeroing down on the perpetrators, there has been no committed response or, action undertaken, thereof.

Presently, without appropriate prosecution by the enforcement agencies the perpetrators go scot free & are encouraged at large, while the victim is in acute trauma & is battling for existence without any remedial assistance.

Adding to the worst, the victim with many other homeless children face acute hunger as their parents have lost their livelihood due to no vending and severe restrictions imposed due to the Common Wealth Games (CWG)
