This petition is in favor of Rans Net, Owned and operated by Ayla Stromquist, to operate as is in the down town business district. The business district is just that, a business district. Currently Sitka’s business district is full of empty store fronts. It is neither in the best interest of the town or the town’s economy to push away young start up businesses in the down town BUSINESS DISTRICT. By signing this petition you are supporting not only local businesses, but our local economy in Sitka. You are also in support of our hours, whatever they may be. Local businesses like Rans Net not only provide more sales tax dollars, but more job opportunities. Sign below if you are in support of a locally grown and operated business. Stay open! Don't crush any opportunity for small business. We need options and people willing to start up business in Sitka. Unfortunately, some crushed the building of extended docks in the harbor and we have less tourism now. I want a booming Sitka, not a stagnant one. Those empty store fronts cost a lot of money and small business owners cannot afford this.
In my experience as a nightowl walking around downtown, this business is not creating a noise problem. On Friday night I heard several people singing outside Ernie's and Monday night I heard a driver with his car stereo at full blast. This is a business district and this business isn't creating a major noise problem compared to other businesses in the area. In fact, it's quieter.
This place is amazing! The owner is a very kind and provides great service!!! I would be extremely disappointed if they couldn't run this little stand that sells amazing pelmini! Keep the stand please!!!
Fully support this business. Great food, open late! This town needs to lighten up on these small businesses. They are the future for Sitka. We need to make some changes. Thanks
I think this business is a plus to town. It's in the downtown business area which should be ok. They don't do anything wrong when there open but provide food and job opportunities for the town.

I am very proud of the young start-ups in Sitka and hope other community members will show strong support in encouraging the local economy in Sitka as well as the folks that are willing to take risks in starting up fresh business ventures like Rans Net
