Target shooting facilities are needed in the south east of Ireland as soon as possible. It is a joke that everyone has to join the one and only 1000 yard range. This is up to and over a three hour journey to get there for many. We deserve a choice and not have to be limited to the one range. As usual this is the Irish way of monopolising and exploiting registered firearms owners. Shooting can never grow in Ireland if we do not promote it and encourage others to get involved instead of having everyone travel to the one place.

I honestly did not think this would gain so much traction when I started typing it out in a fit of frustration about that long drive. It feels like people are finally noticing how ridiculous it is that we are all stuck traveling across the country just to shoot. My mind is honestly racing thinking about how we might actually push for more than one base of operations in this region.

Absolute joke. monopoly at its finest. give us range options in the south east already!
3 hours is ridiculous. fuel costs are madness these days. we need something closer to home.

Living in Wexford and the travel alone is putting me off the sport entirely. It is just not fair that we have no local option.
