How could TMS not do a special on the greatest metal guitarist?

The greatest guitarist of all time deserves this tribute!

Randy is THE riff king. His solos are songs in their ownright.. Sinable memorable and most influential.. His knowledge of music and theory are up their with the masters.

Randy's influence has now touched generations of guitarists, he put Jackson guitars on the map and helped many guitar luthiers get established. He graces the covers of guitar magazines to this day even though he has been gone 30+ years. Randy's shadow is wide and long even though his body of work was small and his talent was really untapped, this guitarist songwriter who sometimes could look so small and frail with all the looks of a rock star, Randy could write a song and a melodic and/or mood altering solo with ferociousness that some guitarists have yet to accomplish. My belief is that Randy, although popular with many, has not received his due throughout the industry. He deserves to be honored with a Star on the Walk of Fame in Hollywood and to be in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. Could anyone ever imagine if Randy was not discovered, No Ozzy comeback, no Jackson guitars, No Revelation Mother Earth, no Mr. Crowley, etc... what direction would guitarists have gone without his influence. The time has come for Randy, a pioneer, to get his due for his legacy. To be honored as a major contributor to Rock and Metal guitar playing. It is time for Randy and all that are influenced by him to have a tribute show on that Metal show to be recognized as one of the greatest guitarists of his time.
