The students interests should be the number one priority. The music program should definitely NOT be cut from the curriculum.

Don’t ‘buy’ her out. Have her work as a janitor or in the lunch room for a year.

I strongly agree that Change needs to be made. I was hesitant to sign because I was not convinced this petition would have an impact and cause change. But I realize that silence will surely accomplish nothing. To hear that our voices may fall on deaf ears by the BOE members is disheartening. No matter which side you’re standing on I think we can all agree that this is a disaster for everyone involved! Students, teachers, parents & our community as a whole. This is a sad day for our town.

Music Education is an integral part of child development that will remain with them long after they graduate. It is not an "extra" that can be slashed from the budget.
Music and several other programs at the school (football, athletic director, quality teachers leaving) have suffered since Jennifer Fano took over. Once upon a time, Randolph was know for Randolph Football and the The Bands of Randolph, let's make a change to remove the cancer from these programs and restore them to their former greatness.

My daughters have spoken often about the musicianship quality suffering as a result of the changes to the music department. Rather than build on the asset of having a great music department and making it exceptional, the opposite is occurring. The marching band, for example, needs the financial resources to invest in superior props for their performances, in order to be more successful. Even more so we need the quality music teachers that have left to be invited back to Randolph. Students want to be proud of what they put so much time and effort into, otherwise they won't.

Our children and their educational opportunities come first. We paid our taxes and supported referendums all to improve our education system. The Music program has been chopped away piece by piece under her reign. It' time to stop the bleeding and send her packing.

The Music Department has been hit hard the past 2 years. We have lost many quality Music teachers. I have had private conversations with a number of the Music teachers that remain and I am VERY concerned that we may lose more of these great teachers. I would be very happy to see Ms. Fano go before she does more damage.

One of the many reasons why we moved here over 17 years ago was because of the Public School System in Randolph.
The Music Program has allows been one of the best not only in New Jersey but in the U. S.
Why would any Board want to let these slip away as it has been in years.
Let’s give the people that care the most
( the children ) all they deserve.
Let’s think about the future leaders. Our children. And give them back the Best Education they deserve.

I am disappointed in the changes with regards to the music program. Randolph has a history of outstanding music programs and it is obvious that is starting to slip Due to reduced support by the administration.
