Hello we are part of NCS and are setting up a sports day in Oldham town centre near the Oldham Odean cinemas. We are doing this event to get names and email addresses to sign a petition for more funding for 16-17 year olds to be able to receive more help before they are discharged from cahms. Our event will be held on the 20th July and its FREE so please come down and support mental health in the youth and overall have some fun

I've been through this system myself many times and it's never been massively successful so more funding would help with better treatment and more availability for suffering teens. So yeah it's a very good thing to be doing

I worked in the looked after children sector for over a decade and I'm appalled by the lack of mental health provision available to our younger generation. I recently started to work in the afternoon mental health sector and have seen first hand what happens when early intervention isn't effective. It has been proven that e eryones pound spent to tackle emotional issues in young people, saves £6 in adulthood, so austerity excuses don't quite wash. Let's take a leaf from the practises in scansanaviannations and make children and their metal health a priority. To give them a chance at a better future and our society chance of success

Helping children now might help and stop them develop in to a very messed up adult

More help and support should be available to young people and without the long waiting lists too.

I want to support this because a young person getting support from the mental health team who turn 16 and 17 still need the support they aren't cured from Mental health issues just because they have had a birthday
