Respected Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh Medical Council,

FMGE interns serving in Uttar Pradesh government hospitals currently receive a stipend of ₹12,000 per month. This is among the lowest in India, despite our state's proud heritage and leadership in healthcare. By contrast, Odisha offers ₹40,000, West Bengal provides ₹43,000, and Bihar is increasing its stipend to ₹27,000 per month for FMGE/MBBS interns. Such disparities undermine the contribution and dignity of FMGE graduates who provide critical healthcare to our citizens.

We, the undersigned, urgently request that the stipend for FMGE interns in Uttar Pradesh be raised to at least ₹40,000 per month, matching states that value their young doctors. This step will improve morale, reduce financial stress, and strengthen public health for all.

We respectfully ask for your immediate action, and will submit this petition directly to your office and the UP Medical Council so our voices, and the future of medical care in Uttar Pradesh, are heard.
