Let's work together to raise the hoops in the NBA. Check out this essay to debate the whether or not to raise the hoop.

Do you love watching basketball? Do you enjoy watching the NBA? If you answered yes to both of these questions, then you will probably want to have the NBA rims raised higher. Why? If the NBA were to do this, it would add to the excitement of the game. Raising the rim would have less dunks in a game, which would be exciting. Also, if there are higher rims, it would show who the real talented players are. Lastly, there would be more excitement in simple jump shots we see today, as, "easy money". These are the reasons why I think that raising the rim would add to the excitement of watching NBA basketball.

First of all, raising the rim would make the game more exciting for viewers. It would show that since the rim would be higher, less people would dunk. According to JADEUSA from debate.org, "You may only see 5 dunks per game, versus 30+ dunks per game." What this means is that people would enjoy less dunks in an NBA game. Perhaps with less dunks, there may be less of a chance to see a crazy dunk, because there will be less dunks overall. With more dunks, you are likely to see a lot of crazy dunks. As you can see, raising the rim would be more exciting for people who watch the game.
Another reason why the NBA should raise the rim is that, it would show who the real talented players are. Today, the NBA's rims are 10 feet above the ground. If the NBA were to increase the height of the rim, then, players like Spud Webb, Nate Robinson, and wouldn't be able to dunk. Those guys were under 6 feet tall! If the NBA's rims were 12 feet, then those guys likely would not be able to dunk. But, if they can dunk, it would show that they are more talented than people expected. FLSH from debate.org said, "I bet if some foreign team not from{the} USA comes up with 7'7, 7'8, 7'9 or even 8'0 tall player and start dominating the board." What this means is that the very tall players, mainly centers and power forwards came, he would
