My Taid worked on the railway all his life, he loved the bridge and the lions, he took me to see the lions as a child, is a shame they were never lifted to new plinths when the road deck was constructed. It is long overdue but they need to be seen not hidden.

As a regular visitor to North Wales and an admirer of Stephenson's engineering prowess, moving these sculptures to a more prominent position would be a fitting tribute to one of our most important 19th century civil and mechanical engineers.

Should have been raised years ago, they would be a boost for tourism, but I am afraid our Council is not forward thinking enough. Shame

I'm originally from Birmingham and have lived on Anglesey for 9 years now, but I wasn't aware of the lions until about 6 years ago, it would be nice to be able to see them.

I recall my father telling me this proposal was first made when the road deck was added to the bridge. It's high time the lions were raised back to prominence.

I've seen the lion's and I like that they are hidden, a kind of secret but agree everyone should see them as they're stunning and an asset. Good luck

Terrible shame these amazing beasts can only be glimpsed briefly on the train. They should be given pride of place.

These lions are masterpieces that deserve to be shown as a dramatic entrance to Anglesey where millions who drive through will talk and remember forever.
