My grandfather was employed as one of the maintenance workers who painted the bridge. His name was Henry Hughes from Penrhosgarnedd. We have a photograph of him at the mouth of the tunnel with his coworkers.

Raise them !!! Pointless being there otherwise might as well put them on my drive . they would get more interest there

They were meant to be seen, not hidden away. Place them on the mainland approaches at either end of bridge so that combined weight upon bridge is not an issue.
