I agree that now is the time to raise the minimum wage. I ask that in the 98th General Assembly of Illinois you vote in favor of a raise to the minimum wage that would increase it to $10.65 over a period of 2 years. A raise in the minimum wage to $10.65 would mean

· Assurance of a living wage for working families

· Access to a greater standard of living

· Economic net-growth for struggling communities

I look forward to monitoring your public position on this vita issue to our state. Working families can no longer wait. No person that works full time should have to live in poverty.
