As a future railer parent I think the travel times and distances will play a decision on what activities my children will be able to participate in.

I do not agree with this change. In addition to longer travel times for our children, less time for sleep, studying and other activities, it will also have a negative affect on the families and fans that travel to support our LCHS Railers. I hope you reconsider this decision.

I feel that the amount of travel for the sports teams will be too much. For example lets say that the boys basketball game is in Mahomet and is at 7 by the time the game is over and the bus trip home it could be 11:00 or 12:00 in some places by the time they get back

I know personally as an active activity member for LCHS,
kids in not just one sport, but multiple sports, will face a problem with traveling regulations, and could possibly further their love for sports due to longer bus rides. If it's for the kids, then their opinions should be put into place.

An option to join a closer has to be more diligently looked at. The extra travel costs along with student-athletes loss of study time need to be considered more.

Additionally, as school districts are looking for ways to save money, this move to the Apollo conference would result in higher transportation costs. Fewer home games would also result in lower revenue from ticket and concession sales. Other programs are supported by the concession revenue.

If my son was still in high school, I would be extremely upset with this move. The distance to travel and the roads during winter months are a huge concern!! Not to mention the fun rivalry within CS8.

Think traveling and kids being out of school and getting home LATE is going to not be good for the kids

1) The board was well informed about travel times in all the conferences considered. 2) The board used the newspapers AND social media to publicize the public meetings -- there were only about six people at one of the meetings and no one shared their concerns. 3) Therefore I see no reason to readdress this issue. Thank you.
