We will not stand for this kind of teaching.. If she's bored let her go play a damn board game.

A teacher is someone in life that we look up to, who become our hero. They help us grow competent and have virtue. Shelley Scully is far from that, she is a racist, filled with bigotry and hate and is a disgrace. Her lumpen apology is unacceptable and insulting .Her apology starts off with "It is with the deepest sense of respect ". If she had a deep sense of respect, I would not be signing this petition. It is my opinion that because she was caught ,she is only concerned for herself. I can assure you there is nothing funny about slavery! I implore you to fire Shelley Scully, revoke her teaching license. There are no deals or options to work out here. This will not and cannot be tolerated in any way shape or form. There is no space for racism ,especially in school with our precious children. Show Shelley Scully the door.It is an honor and privilege to teach and guide children,an honor she in not suitable for in anyway shape or form ~

This is unacceptable! Our children need educators who recognize this stain in our history for what it is, not minimize in such a despicable way. Systemic racism will not be resolved until we are all held accountable!
