In the recently published ACTION COMICS #18, artist Chris Sprouse illustrates a backup feature showcasing Superman's ability to inspire courage. In the tale, several children were being portrayed as bullies and bigots - what makes this story stand out is that the victims were all multi-ethnic nonwhite children, while the bullies were all clearly caucasian. Superman stands for truth, justice and the American way. Chris Sprouse's artistic choices clearly do not stand for any idea of truth, justice or the American way that I can subscribe to. It’s a deeply disappointing and frankly weird choice. To DC Comics: By employing Chris Sprouse despite his artistically racist efforts you are giving him a new platform and supporting his hate.
